The WI in Poltimore

Poltimore’s WI meet every second Wednesday of the month (excluding AUGUST), at 7.30pm.

The National Federation of Women’s Institutes is the largest voluntary organisation for Women in the UK with over 205,000 members. The Devon Federation is made up of groups and we are part of the Broadclyst group which consists of Broadclyst, Pinhoe, Poltimore, Silverton, stoke Canon and Thorverton. You do not have to live in these villages to enjoy what we have to offer, just come along and join us from where ever you are.

The Poltimore WI group is a friendly group who get together to enjoy talks, quizzes, skittles and competitions. In additional to the annual programme of monthly events (to be published here shortly) we also have visits to theatres, concerts, exhibitions, local walks and visits to places of interest. There is a weekly Craft Club which has been started by WI members but is open to all. So there really is something for everyone.

If you want to find out more please telephone Esme Gibbins on 01392 461768

The WI also offer over 600 courses at their Denman College, which is the WI’s Adult Education Centre in Oxfordshire. Open to WI members and non-members, men and women and students of all ages.
